Public Records Request Guidelines

The Sandusky County Treasurer’s Office follows Ohio law in responding to requests for public records.

This office will provide copies of any public records of this office that must be provided by law.

Please be aware that we are not required to create a record for you.

Record requests will be accepted in person Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. at the SanduskyCounty Treasurer’s Office, 100 N. Park Ave., Suite 112, Fremont, Ohio 43420.The telephone number is 419-334-6234.

Other office documents are available through one of the Public Records Custodians:Kimberley Foreman, Treasurer, Heather Whitcum, Chief Deputy Treasurer, KimberlyKramer, DeputyTreasurer.

The Sandusky County Treasurer’s office will accept cash, checks, or money orders payable to: Sandusky CountyTreasurer.Payment must be received prior to issuance of any public record copies.

If the records are readily available, they will be copied immediately.

If the records need to be researched or reviewed, you will receive a written response and/or records in a reasonable period of time.

We will only request your identity and written request, or the reason for the request if that information will assist us in providing the documents requested.

You are not required to provide that information.
